COLLEGE PARK, MD - Brett Royster had a career-high 14 rebounds, but the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team lost to the University of Maryland 72-59 on Sunday.
FAU trailed by 12 at halftime despite 10 first half points from Raymond Taylor. The Owls could only trim the lead to single digits once in the second half as the Terrapins answered each time FAU threatened to pull closer.
Royster's 14 in the second time this season this season he has posted a career high. He grabbed 13 against Warner in FAU's last home game. Taylor ended the game with 16 points. He and Greg Gantt (14) were the only Owls in double-digits.
FAU returns home for the first time since December 10, when they play Hofstra on December 29. The game will start at 7 p.m.
