"I would like to congratulate Coach Schnellenberger and FAU for winning the football game. They did a very nice job offensively and are a good football team. I am very proud of our guys competing until the end. Obviously we aren't proud of losing because we want to win the football game. I thought our guys competed well. We've got to find a way to win the game.
On getting behind early in the game...
You never want to get behind early. Our guys stay focused and competitive and I think we competed until the end. We kept fighting. If we keep playing that competitive we will win some ball games. Just because your down doesn't mean you give up. If we compete like we did today we will win some ball games.
On the rest of the UAB season...
We've got to keep pulling together and keep working. Again I think if we compete like today we will win some ball games.
On FAU Quarterback Rusty Smith...
I think he is a very good passer...He doesn't have a great arm, but a good arm. I think he is a very accurate passer.
