Deland, FL- The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team defeated Stetson University in a 1-0 match Friday night. Freshman Rocco Pecora's unassisted goal in the 55th minute was the difference in the close match. Pecora's first goal of the season was a blast from 20 yards out.
The FAU defense recorded its' first shutout of the season, despite being outshot 16-8 by the Hatters. Junior goalkeeper Phillip Lamarre made six saves.
The Owls improve to 2-3-0 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. against Seattle University at FAU Field, 777 Glades Road in Boca Raton. For more information call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
