Barton Named Second-Team All-Sun Belt

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University sophomore pitcher Amber Barton has been named to the Sun Belt All-Conference Second Team.

Barton garnered a 10-5 record in Sun Belt play with a 2.75 ERA. She also picked up two saves in conference games.

Barton pitched extra inning complete wins three times while helping the Owls to a 17-7 conference record. In FAU's 2-1 win over Troy University, she scattered seven hits with 11 strikeouts with just one walk in 11 innings. At the plate, Barton hit .266 against conference opponents.

Overall, Barton has a 19-17 record with 178 strikeouts and picked up wins over the University of South Carolina and the University of Illinois.
