Bodenmiller Named to All-Academic Squad

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University softball player Blair Bodenmiller recently was named to the CoSIDA Distict III All-Academic Second Team.

The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. She is the first Owl to receive the honor since Ginny Matthews was named to the squad in 2002. Bodenmiller recently completed her red shirt sophomore season for the Owls. She has a 3.96 GPA and is majoring in political science. Bodenmiller recently was named FAU Female Student-Athlete of the Year.

Bodenmiller hit .262 while starting 41 games for the Owls. The team finished the season with a 17-7 conference record, good for second place in the Sun Belt Conference. FAU ended the year with a 35-26 overall record.
