BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic (22-17, 4-2) softball team lost the final game of its series to North Texas 5-0 on Saturday.
Rebecca Waters homered in the bottom of the second to give North Texas a 1-0 lead. They added another run in the third when Kadie Platt scored on a single off the glove of Amber Barton. The Mean Green added three more runs in the fifth to provide the final margin of victory.
The Owls' best chance to score came in the top of the second when they had the bases loaded with none out, but were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.
