Men's Tennis Wins Sixth Straight

The no. 75 Florida Atlantic University men's tennis won its sixth straight match on Sunday by defeating Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. The Owls took the doubles point and won four singles match to take the 5-2 win.
Florida Atlantic (7-2) won at no. 2 and no. 3 doubles to take the doubles point. Playing in the no. 3 spot, Eddie Majcher and Karol Szumrlo easily defeated Gregory Bekkers and Joris DeWeerdt 8-1.
In singles play Georgia Southern took the no. 1 and no. 3 matches. FAU's Marc Abdelnour won at no. 2 over Bekkers 6-1, 6-1. Szmurlo, Majcher and Vardag also won their singles matches in two games.
The team will compete next Friday and Saturday in Tampa. USF will be the opponent on Friday before FAU takes on St. John's on Saturday morning.
