Final Stats

The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis improved to 3-2 on the season with a 7-0 over Florida Gulf Coast University on Sunday afternoon. The Owls dropped the only match at No. 2 doubles but won each singles match.

Marc Abdelnour (6-1, 6-1), Olivier Sajous (6-2, 6-2) and Corey Smith (6-0, 6-4) all won easily in the top-three singles position but saw the Eagles put up a fight in the remaining singles matches. Joe Cadogan defeated FGCU's Andrew Kam 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 and Eddie Majcher needed three sets to defeat FGCU's Edson Lima 6-4, 4-6, 7-6. Able to sneak away with a two set victory, FAU's Daniel Vardag defeated Danny Lee 6-4, 7-6.

In doubles play Joe Cadogan and Marc Abdelnour won at the No. 1 spot 8-1 and Lawrence Harradine and Corey Smith defeated Danney Lee and Ervin Garibovic at the No. 3 spot 9-8.

The team returns to action next weekend when it travels to Jacksonville to take on the University of North Florida on Saturday before heading to the University of Jacksonville on Sunday.
