BOCA RATON, FL - Katie Arvidson had a .625 hitting efficency for the match, but the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team fell in straight sets to New Orleans (18-25, 23-25, 12-25) on Saturday night.
The Owls (11-14, 4-9 Sun Belt) trailed by as little as a point late in the first set, but UNO closed on an 8-2 run to take a 1-0 lead. In the second set, the teams were tied at 21 when the Privateers took the set on a 4-2 spurt. UNO got out quickly in the third set and took the set 25-12 to end the match.
The Owls return to action Sunday afternoon when they face Louisiana-Monroe at 2 p.m. The first 50 fans in attendance will receive an FAU car flag. Live stats and live webstreaming of the match will be available on fausports.com.
