The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team fell to no. 11 University of Miami 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The Hurricanes won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to sweep the Owls.
In the No. 1 position, Elodie Wendling suffered a loss to no. 29 Laura Vallverdu as the Hurricanes opened their season.
FAU will next face cross town rival Lynn University on February 1 at 2 p.m. in Boca Raton.
