Owls Fall to Cross-Town Opponent

The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team fell to cross-town opponent Lynn University Friday afternoon in Boca Raton. It was the first match of the season for the Fighting Knights, while the Owls dropped to 0-4.
After suffering an injury in doubles play and being forced to retire, Elodie Wendling was not able to play in her usually No. 1 spot in singles. Natalia Totevska stepped into the top spot and defeated the 14th ranked player at the Division II level, Alisson Siaci, 6-4, 6-4. It was the Owls' lone win of the afternoon.
Wendling will have a month off to recover with the next match scheduled for March 1 at UCF.
