Tennis Falls to No. 36 Miami

The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team faced its second ranked opponent in three matches as it took on no. 36 University of Miami on Thursday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. Marc Abdelnour picked up FAU's lone point as the Owls (1-2) fell 6-1 to the Hurricanes.
Abdelnour defeated No. 97 David Rosenfeld at the No. 2 spot 7-5, 6-1. The freshman from Aleppo, Syria teamed with Joe Cadogan in doubles play and almost completed an upset over the No. 30 team of Daniel Vallverdu and Carl Sundberg but fell 8-7.
The team now has two weeks off before hosting Stetson University on February 9 at Patch Reef Park at noon.
