Fishback Earns Back-to-Back Sun Belt Honors

BOCA RATON, FL - Mandie Fishback, a senior second baseman on the Florida Atlantic University softball team, was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week on Monday.

Fishback batted .556 with four RBI against Florida International as the Owls swept the Golden Panthers and FAU captured the regular-season crown in its first season of Sun Belt play.

The Banks, OR native had four singles and a triple and completed a perfect fielding season in conference play, handling all 10 chances in the three games. Her .778 slugging percentage on the week led the team, and she has reached base in 17-consecutive games.

Fishback and the Owls will head into this week's Sun Belt Conference Tournament as the no. 1 seed and will face no. 8 Florida International on Wednesday at 4 p.m., eastern.
