Widlansky Makes Cut on Wallace Watch List

The Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Award list was narrowed down to the top 30 baseball players in the nation this week. Florida Atlantic University's Robbie Widlansky remains on the list and is one of four outfielders still being considered.

Widlansky (Coral Springs, FL) was named Sun Belt Player of the Year earlier this week after he hit .445 in the regular season with an FAU record 101 hits and 170 total bases. He tied the FAU record with his 23rd double of the season on Wednesday and has 15 homers on the year.

The list will be narrowed to 20 quarterfinalists on May 20 and to 10 semifinalists following the NCAA Regionals. The winner will be announced on July 3.
