BOCA RATON, FL - Katherine Bartnik played in her final collegiate home match on Saturday, unfortunately it was a 7-0 loss to USF, ranked no. 38 nationally by ITA.
The Owls dropped the doubles point and moved into singles play only to see the Bulls take each match. While FAU has been challenged the last two days playing top-40 ranked teams, it is the hope these quality matches will help as FAU heads into its first Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championship next week.
The Owls captured two Atlantic Sun Conference Championships between 1995 and 2006 and made an NCAA appearance each year. The task this season is made more difficult with several SBC teams holding a national rank.
