Women's Tennis Falls to FIU 7-0

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team played host to its final conference opponent before they head to the Sun Belt Tournament next week and fell to Florida International University 7-0.
FIU, ranked no. 32 nationally by the ITA, took the doubles point and then swept through the singles matches. The closest FAU came to capturing a set was no. 3 singles when senior Katherine Bartnik pushed the first set tiebreaker to 7-5.
Bartnik, FAU's lone senior, will play her final home match 1 p.m. Saturday when the Owls play host to USF.
All home matches are played at Patch Reef Park and are free and open to the public.
