MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Calvin O'Neil scored 15 points, helping Middle Tennessee State to a 79-59 win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday night to close the regular season.

Tim Blue had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Raiders (13-16, 8-10 Sun Belt). Desmond Yates added 10 points.

Middle Tennessee gradually built its lead throughout the game, with the largest coming on a Darren Avery dunk with 31 seconds left in the game for the final 20-point margin.

The Blue Raiders dominated inside, scoring 34 points in the paint and 28 points off turnovers.

Derrick Simmons and Paul Graham led scoring for Florida Atlantic (15-14, 10-8), both with 17 points. Carlos Monroe grabbed 11 rebounds.
