NEW ORLEANS, LA - Florida Atlantic University's football team used the day to full fill interview request and to work their normal Wednesday practice, a day up since the Owls play on Friday, only it did not include pads.
It was the second day inside the New Orleans Saints practice facility and a day that saw the defensive backs, which are part of a squad that leads the nation in take aways, work on pass defense.
Offensively, the team continued to work on routes and the team' overall scheme.
"We will continue to work on the same thing we do every time we prepare to take the field," said FAU Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger. "We need to run an offense that picks it spots to throw, be frugal with the ball and continue our strong advantage in the give away take away column."
FAU is scheduled to participate in a community outreach program at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and will take part in its final practice at the Saints Practice Facility on Wednesday.
Friday's Bowl Game will be carried on ESPN2 nationally and will air on WMEN 640 AM in the Boca Ration market as well as on www.fausports.com.
