STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Mike Hamilton ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns and Chris Collins scored Oklahoma State's first defensive touchdown in 15 games as the Cowboys beat Florida Atlantic 48-8 Saturday for their third straight lopsided win.

Bobby Reid added one touchdown rushing and another passing for the Cowboys, who have won 13 straight nonconference games and outscored their first three opponents 135-25 this season.

Hamilton scored on a 6-yard run in the first half and his 10-yard score on Oklahoma State's first possession of the second half made it 34-0.

Reid, who threw for 186 yards on 9 of 16 passing, added a 9-yard TD run to make it 41-0 and the Cowboys then pulled their starters.

Up to that point, Oklahoma State (3-0) had allowed Florida Atlantic only one first down and 31 total yards.

Florida Atlantic got its first touchdown of the season when fullback Willie Rose scored on an 8-yard run with 9:04 to play, but Oklahoma State's Dantrell Savage answered with a 70-yard TD run.

Orie Lemon intercepted Rusty Smith's pass inside the Oklahoma State 5 to prevent another Owls score in the final 2 minutes.

The Owls (0-3) will play another opponent from a Bowl Championship Series conference next week, when Florida Atlantic plays at South Carolina.

Oklahoma State led 27-0 at halftime.

Perrish Cox set up Oklahoma State's first score with a 25-yard punt return to the Florida Atlantic 19. Two plays and a penalty later, Hamilton ran in for his first score.

Collins picked up Smith's fumble at the 3-yard line and took it to the end zone for Oklahoma State's first defensive touchdown since Nov. 27, 2004, when Jamie Thompson returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown against Texas Tech.

The Cowboys made it 21-0 when Reid zipped a short pass to Adarius Bowman, and he used strong downfield blocks from fellow receivers D'Juan Woods and Ricky Price to turn it into a 69-yard score. Before then, Oklahoma State had 47 yards of total offense.

Jason Ricks added field goals from 30 and 41 yards.
