Awards Continue to Roll in for Lehtinen

BOCA RATON, FL -- The nation is taking notice of Florida Atlantic University junior forward Susanna Lehtinen.
The Espoo, Finland native was named "Best of the Rest" by the Soccer Times, an award given to the second-best collegiate player in the country for the week of September 4.
Lehtinen has already garnered Player of the Week honors from the Sun Belt Conference and National Elite Team of the Week honors from Soccer Buzz Magazine for her efforts versus Miami and Stetson that week.
Lehtinen scored the game-winning goal in double-overtime versus previously unbeaten Miami in a 2-1 FAU victory on September 8 and added a hat trick versus Stetson in a 4-0 win on September 10. Both games were played at FAU Field.
The Owls (2-2-2) return to the field at home versus Mount St. Mary's today at 5:30 p.m., and will welcome No. 1 Florida State to Boca Raton on Sunday for a noon start.
Arizona goalkeeper Chelsea McIntyre was named Soccer Times Player of the Week for her 16-save, two shutout weekend.
