The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost its final match of a season opening three game road trip to former Atlantic Sun Conference foe Stetson 1-0 Thursday evening at the Stetson Soccer Field.
The margin of victory was provided in the 30th minute on a penalty kick by Tanner Wolfe. The goal was the junior's third of the season and 19th of his career.
The penalty kick resulted from a foul called inside the box on FAU defender Andreas Heggelund. The goal was the only one of the 11 Hatters' shots to get past keep Phillip Lamarre.
The Owls drop to 0-3 on the season and 18-10-2 all-time against the Hatters. FAU had taken three of the previous four matchups against the Hatters.
FAU returns to the pitch on Fri. Sept. 8, when it takes on Mercer in its home opener. Kickoff is scheduled 5 p.m.
