Atlanta, GA - The Owls ended the 2006 regular-season with a 5-1 loss to Georgia State University, Tuesday evening. Florida Atlantic, playing with just four players, will next travel to Macon, GA where the team will participate in the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament for the final time before moving to the Sun Belt in 2006-2007.
"I was really glad that Mauricio Paiz won his match because he had a bad result at Regionals against someone from Georgia State. With this win he has earned some well deserved respect," said David Komie, FAU's head coach.
The two squads elected not to play singles.
