Owls Open Outdoor Season at UCF

ORLANDO, FL -- Nine top-five finishes headlined the UCF Invitational for the Florida Atlantic University women's track team as it opened the 2006 outdoor season.
After earning a second-place finish at the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championship, the Owls opened up the outdoor campaign with a non-scoring competition against UCF, USF, Tennessee State, ETSU, and Jacksonville.
Top-finishers for the Owls included Malika Clary in the 200m (3rd, 25.14 seconds), Marilyn Stephens in the 400m (3rd, 56.78 seconds), Christina Dutko in the 1,500m (3rd, 4:53.71), Allison Wilcox in the 5,000m (3rd, 19:44.26), Lindsay Glover in the 400m Hurdles (3rd 1:04.73), Krystena Castro in the javelin throw (3rd, 102-5), and the 4x100m relay team who finished 2nd with a time of 47.05 seconds.
FAU will travel to USF on March 11 to take part in the USF Invitational as the team continues its final campaign in the A-Sun Conference.
