Owls Fall to FAMU 4-3

Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's tennis team dropped a tough match 4-3 to Florida A&M, Sunday afternoon at Patch Reef Tennis Center.
"Florida A&M fought us hard to the end," said FAU head coach David Komie. "We fought hard too but, are giving up the doubles point too easy and need to do better at no. 6 singles."
David Demers captured his second victory in as many matches with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at no.2 singles.
While the match was clinched at no. 4 singles with a three-set FAMU victory, Gianfranco Dossena, at no. 5 singles, kept the Owls in the match after being down 3-0 he came back to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The Owls fall to 1-5 on the season and will be back in action 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at Patch Reef Park when they play host to conference foe Stetson.
