TEMPE, AZ - Shuteamia Brayboy notched her 250th career assist at Florida Atlantic University in a 93-53 losing effort to Nebraska on Sunday. The match up was FAU's second game of the Veterans Day Classic in Tempe, AZ.
"Shuteamia is a special type of player on the floor," said head coach Chancellor Dugan. "She always gives it her all and helps this team on so many levels."
The Cornhuskers started the game on a quick 9-0 run in the contest's opening two minutes. FAU would respond with a 9-4 run and trailed only 13-9 with 14:43 to go in the first. However, Nebraska would use a stifling defense that caused 18 Owl first-half turnovers to build a 33-12 advantage with 8:30 to play. They would take a 55-25 lead into the break.

Coming into the second half the Owls increased their defensive intensity and caused 19 Nebraska turnovers in the frame. FAU kept the score in check for much of the half, allowing the Cornhuskers to increase their first-half lead by no more than seven until the games final four minutes.
Bowe lead the Owls with 13 points and six rebounds. Senior Mistoria Brown also reached double digits with 11 points and two boards.
Brayboy completed the afternoon with eight points, six rebounds, and five assists. She now has 251 assists for her career and is sixth all-time at FAU.
