The Owls stretched their lead to 10-0 after Manley ran untouched through the Arkansas State defense for a 35-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. It was Manley's first touchdown of the season.
A fumble recovery by the Owls at the Indians' 46-yard line set up a 41-yard field goal in the second that made the score 13-0.
In the third quarter, a bad snap from center sailed over Arkansas State punter Brett Shrable's head and rolled inside the Indians 20-yard line. Shrable tossed the ball out of the end zone for a safety and the Owls went ahead 15-0.
