Oneonta, NY - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost to Hartwick 6-0 on Saturday night.
Hartwick would take a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute on a goal by John Paul Boyle. Tyler Hemming would provide the next three goals for the Hawks before Boyle struck again in the 57th minute.
The Owls would also commit an own goal to provide the final margin.
The Owls would manage just four shots on goal and attempted only nine overall. FAU keeper Jack Gieche would enter in the 85th minute to see his first action of the season.
Hartwick keepers Joe Gibson and Ryan Cruise combined for the shutout.
FAU returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 when they take on N.C. State in their last nonconference match of the season.
Kickoff in Raleigh is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
