Mike McBryde and Mickey Storey continue to pile up preseason accolades with All-America recognition from the Rosenblatt Report. One of Florida Atlantic University's starting pitchers, Storey earned Second-Team All-America recognition and outfielder McBryde received third-team honors.
A Deerfield Beach, FL native, Storey posted a 10-1, 1.70 ERA in 2005 and earned second-team honors from Louisville Slugger earlier this year. McBryde earned third-team honors for the second time this preseason as an outfielder after leading the team with a .370 batting average, 40 RBI and breaking the FAU record for hits in a season with 98. The junior served as the team's closer and posted 10 saves and a 3.11 ERA. He finished with 49 strikeouts in 37.2 innings of work.
The squad received a no. 22 preseason ranking from Rosenblatt Report and will take on no. 15 Tennessee to open the season on Feb. 3 at 7 pm.
