In the final meet of the regular season, Florida Atlantic University's women's swim team picked up three wins and the men's team defeated Tampa 186-75. The teams combined for 15 wins against Miami, Tampa and New Orleans.
The men's 200-yard medley relay team of Doug Potvin, Kevin Bartell, Kenny Anderson and Eren Onurlu took the event in 1:35.70 to open the event. The men closed out the meet with a win in the 400 free relay in 3:06.02. Onurlu teamed with Pavel Babaev, Matt Brody and Doug Potvin.
Christian Baker took two events for the Owls. He won the 1000 free in 9:46.72 and the 200 breast in 2:08.67. Kyle DeCicco won the 100 breast by touching the wall in 58.24. In the 100 back, Jonathan Pinto won the event in 53.05. Kyle DeCicco won the 100 breast 58.24, while Andrew DiGiacomo won the 200 fly (1:57.11) and Kevin Bartell the 200 IM (1:59.29).
Three of the women won two events for FAU. Lauren Shue took the 200 free in 1:54.79 and returned to win the 400 IM in 4:34.30. Ellie Weberg won the 100 and 200 breast with times of 1:04.10 and 2:19.01, respectively. Jenny Harms won multiple events by taking the 500 and 1000 free in 5:0316 and 10:19.20.
FAU took first and second in the 400 free relay to defeat Miami 157-141. Lindsey Alexander, Ashley Carlozzi, Bianca Murphy and Stephanie DeRito touched the wall in 2:33.28 to take a three second win over their FAU teammates.
The team heads to the Sun Belt Championships Feb. 16-18 in Denver, CO.
