COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Anders Granstad made 11 saves but it wasn't enough as the Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team fell to the Air Force Academy 2-0 Sunday.
The Owls were shut out for the second consecutive contest as they fell to 1-4 on the year.
Granstad made six saves in the first half to keep the score 1-0 after one half of play, and five more in the second.
AFA scored goals in the 31st and 55th minutes, the first, by Andy Nigro, came off a rebound after a hard shot by Scott Muir, who had two assists. Duncan McNabb added to the lead with his first goal of the 2005 season.
The Owls will now travel down to Miami for a tournament hosted by FIU. They will open with Xavier on Friday at 5 p.m.
