Cross-Country Starts Season at UCF

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's cross-country teams open their 2004 seasons when they travel to Orlando, FL for the UCF invitational. Last year the men's team finished second while the women' finished third. Both squads welcome a combined 16 new members to the team. Returnees Monika Grabowiecka, Brittney Powers and Erin Mayros competed for the women while Lee Beckman competed for the men in last year's competition. Grabowiecka and Powers finished the 4k event sixth and seventh individually with times of 15:19.13 and 16:01.14 while Beckman finished the 6k event 12th with a time of 21:02.04. Mayros finished in 18:36.67. FAU heads to Miami, FL to compete in the FIU Invitational on Saturday, September 11.
