He Pushes Football On the Field and Off

Boca Raton - William McDonald says that he wants to walk into a packed stadium. This is not exactly a huge surprise since he is one of FAU's football players. However, what is a surprise is what he has been doing all summer to make that happen.
While most college football players are working out, hopefully relaxing a bit, and dreaming of a winning football season, William is working at helping his fellow player's dreams become a reality here at FAU! What has he been doing? Well, this offensive lineman is a marketing major and is here on a Bright Futures scholarship, as well as a football scholarship. So, he has a great deal of athletic and academic responsibilities. However, he has went above and beyond that, and has made it his mission this summer to create awareness about the team, and boost ticket sales, as he has worked in the ticket office here at FAU. William believes that anyone who will come and check out the Owls this fall will just have to support them because they will get "hooked" on watching them play. He believes in his team and knows the impact they can have on the community.
It sounds like William is on his way to fulfilling his dreams of staying in the sports marketing and broadcasting field after his pro football career. Yes. That is his first goal out of college! With all of this drive, commitment, and dedication to his team, there's little doubt that he will also do everything and anything to make that football dream come true for himself also. Not bad for a soon to be senior, who has already contributed to his team in another way by playing while in severe pain with three herniated disks before finally getting surgery in November of 2002!
I'm sure that his fellow teammates and coaches are grateful to him for going the extra mile, but then again, that is what makes this football club so special, they all go the extra mile to make this team in to all it can be. With heart like that, this upcoming fall is sure to "hook" many new fans!
