Fiorentino Named Third Team All-America

Picking up his second post-season honor, Florida Atlantic University's Jeff Fiorentino was named to the Baseball America Third Team All-America list. The junior picked up Honorable Mention honors from CollegeBaseballInsider.com last week.
Fiorentino, who was drafted in the third round by the Baltimore Orioles, had a stellar three-year career at FAU and led the team with 17 home runs and 66 RBI in 2004. The stats rank him fifth and seventh, respectively, in FAU single season stats. His 84 runs scored placed him 10th in the nation in that category as he broke the FAU single season record by 10.
The Hollywood, FL native signed with the Orioles today and will play for the Aberdeen IronBirds in the New York-Penn League.
