BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University continues its season-opening road trip Sunday afternoon when it faces Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN. The game tips at 3:00pm EST at the Eblen Center. The game will be the first ever between the two schools.
FAU is coming off an upset bid at Middle Tennessee on Friday. The Lady Owls would go on to lose their opener, 85-63, on the road in Murfreesboro, TN. Middle Tennessee entered the game receiving votes in both major polls and led just 47-41 with less than 15 minutes to play. MT then closed the game outscoring FAU 38-22 to avoid the upset. Jackie Brown led FAU with 18 points. Shontavia Williams added nine.
TTU (0-1) also lost its opener on Friday in an 81-77 setback to visiting East Tennessee State. Emily Christian led the Golden Eaglettes with 28 points on 11-for-17 shooting from the floor. Kendall Cavin added 19. TTU shot 53 percent as a team.
Florida Atlantic returns home to host the FAU Thanksgiving Classic November 26-27 at FAU Gymnasium.
