Question from Miguel Angel Moreira: Daveon, I don't know if you remember me but I used to go to elementary school with you. I saw you a couple of times after that as well. Remember, the little Spanish kid from a while back. Anyways, my question is how do you feel about your success so far at FAU and what is the college like? I plan on attending in January and tryout for soccer. I would appreciate it if you could give me some info about the school. Thanks.
A: I feel blessed that I have achieved what I have at FAU because I realize that it was God's plan. The college is a beautiful one. They are remodeling it in some areas, but it is definitely beautiful and a lot of fun.
Question from Sean Taylor: I was able to see you play a few times on the road last year and you have solid skills. Best of luck this year. Since joining the team nearly two years ago, do you feel that the team has become a more unified group?
A: Of course. We are now beginning to realize everyone's potential and that each of us brings something different to the game plan.
Question from Bob Bankston: Are you working on a half back option play with Joel Fosselman? Can you pass?
A: No, not really and I really don't know why. And yes I can pass a little bit, but I would rather leave that to the quarterbacks.
Question from Johnathon Smith: How do you feel your chances of being the starter are considering that two scholarship backs are back along with the freshman on scholarship and you are not on scholarship?
A: I fell that my chances are good because I feel that you don't have to be on scholarship to be a starter. But me not having a scholarship will change very soon.
Question from Steve Dahlstrom: Daveon, you really add excitement to watching FAU football with your great moves and quickness. Is there a running back that you try to emulate and why did you change your number from 28 to 2 this season? Also, can you please tell Howard to throw some screen passes to you. Best to luck this season.
A: I really don't try to emulate any running back, but the one running back that I consider an idol is Warrick Dunn. He is about my size, which inspires me to work even harder to get where he is. I change my number because that has always been a number I loved and because I had it in high school.
