BOCA RATON, FL - The Atlantic Sun Conference announced Florida Atlantic University as a no. 9 seed in the upcoming A-Sun Tournament. FAU will face the no. 8 seed Jacksonville University, April 16, at 11:30 am in the opening round. The match will be played at Mandy Stoll Park in DeLand, FL. The Owls should be familiar with their opponent. JU and FAU met in both team's regular season finale on April 12, with JU narrowly defeating FAU, 4-3.
If the Owls want to win the A-Sun Championship, their road isn't going to be easy. The no. 1 seed, the University of Central Florida awaits the winner of FAU (8-12, 1-3) and JU (10-12, 2-3). FAU played UCF already once this year, dropping the match 6-1.
Junior Cristian Paiz leads the Owls with a 12-7 dual match record.
