In the latest issue of Baseball America magazine, Florida Atlantic University left-handed pitcher Randy Beam was recognized on the all-senior team. The transfer from Manatee Community College finished the 2003 season sixth in the nation with 13 victories and 33rd with a 2.39 ERA.
Beam will anchor the FAU pitching staff and is the only returning starting pitcher to the 2004 squad. The offense is expected to be sound with seven returning starters to build on last year's 47-16 season.
Florida Atlantic will kick-off the 2004 season on February 6, in Boca Raton against Florida A&M.
