Softball Hosts Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will host a fall tournament this weekend at FAU Field on FAU's Boca Raton campus. The Lady Owls will take part in a six-team field that includes Barry, Florida International, Indian River Community College, Lynn, and Palm Beach Community College. All games are exhibition contests and do not count toward the team's record for this year.
FAU is coming off a record seventh consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference title and its fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance last season. Head Coach Joan Joyce enters her 10th year at the helm of the program with an all-time record of 417-198. In addition, only six teams in the nation have won more games than FAU over the past four seasons.
This weekend's tournament features a total of 16 games with eight each on Saturday and Sunday. There is no charge for admission.
