Women's Tennis Receives A-Sun Honors

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's Alena Dvorakova has been named First-Team All-Conference by the Atlantic Sun Conference, announced the conference office Thursday. Dvorakova was also named to the A-Sun's All-Freshman team.
Dvorakova finished the season 22-7 overall and 15-4 at the no. 1 position. In addidtion, FAU's Maria Aguirre-Gomez received honorable mention in the post-season awards. She finished 12-8 in dual match play and 8-4 at the no. 2 position.
Florida Atlantic finished the season 14-7 and broke into the national rankings for the first time since moving to Division I.
