TALLAHASSEE,FL -
Florida Atlantic University will face Florida State in Saturday night's elimination game at the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee, FL. California, the #2 seed, defeated top-seed Florida State 1-0 Saturday afternoon to advance to Sunday's championship game. FSU will now face FAU with the winner also advancing to the championship game.
FAU, the #3 seed, defeated Florida 3-0 Thursday before falling to California 2-0 on Friday. FSU defeated Bethune-Cookman 6-2 Thursday while downing Florida 6-2 on Friday before dropping its winners bracket game to California on Saturday.
For FAU to advance to its first College World Series, they would have to defeat FSU Saturday and California twice on Sunday.
The FAU-FSU game is scheduled for 6:00pm Saturday evening at the Seminole Softball Complex.
THURSDAY
Game 2 (12:30pm): #2-California 2, #5-Connecticut 0
Game 3 (3:00pm): #3-Florida Atlantic 3, #4-Florida 0
Game 1 (5:30pm): #1-Florida State 6, #6-Bethune-Cookman 2
Game 4 (8:00pm): UConn 2, B-CC 1 (B-CC eliminated)

Game 5 (3:00pm): Florida 8, UConn 0 (UConn eliminated)
Game 6 (5:30pm): California 2, FAU 0
Game 7 (8:00pm): FSU 6, Florida 2 (Florida eliminated)
SATURDAY
Game 8 (1:00pm): Not necessary
Game 9 (3:30pm): California 1, FSU 0
Game 10 (6:00pm): FAU vs FSU (elimination game)
SUNDAY
Championship (1:00pm): California vs FAU/FSU
-If winner of Game 10 wins Game 11, the two teams will play once again at 3:30pm for the championship.
