TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida Atlantic University will begin play in its third straight NCAA Tournament Thursday in Tallahassee, FL. The Lady Owls will take on the University of Florida at 3:00pm at the Seminole Softball Complex. FAU (45-19) is one of six teams in the Tallahassee regional with the winner advancing to the Women's College World Series May 24-28.
FAU is the three-seed while Florida is the four-seed. The teams faced each other twice in the regular season with UF winning 1-0 on March 24 before FAU took the second meeting 3-2 in nine innings on March 25.
In all, FAU held a 4-3 record against the teams involved in the regional. The Lady Owls went 1-2 against host and top-seed Florida State while going 1-0 against both Connecticut(#5) and Bethune-Cookman(#6). The only team FAU did not face this year was second-seeded California. Of the seven games, only one (a 5-2 win over B-CC) was not a one-run contest.

Game 2 (12:30pm): #2-California vs #5-Connecticut
Game 3 (3:00pm): #3-Florida Atlantic vs #4-Florida "Live Audio"
Game 1 (5:30pm): #1-Florida State vs #6-Bethune-Cookman
Game 4 (8:00pm): Loser of Game 1 vs Loser of Game 2
Note: If FAU wins its game against Florida, it will face the winner of the California-UConn game Friday at 5:30pm. If FAU loses to Florida, it will face the winner of Game 4 Friday at 3:00pm.

SUNDAY
Championship (1:00pm): Winner of Game 9 vs Winner of Game 10
-If winner of Game 10 wins Game 11, the two teams will play once again at 3:30pm for the championship.
