The 2001 Trans America Athletic Conference Softball Championship ended the same way it has the past four years, with a Florida Atlantic University championship. The Lady Owls successfully defended their title with a four game sweep through TAAC Championship play.
The rest of the tournament field included Jacksonville State University, Stetson University, Georgia State University, Samford University, and Troy State University.
