Myers Named TAAC Pitcher of the Week

MACON, GA - Nicole Myers has earned Trans America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. It marked the fifth time she has earned the honor this season and she is the only player to earn the honor five times in a season.

Early this season, she repeated another first. She is the only player to earn both Player and Pitcher of the Week in the same week. She accomplished it last season and repeated her efforts the week of March 5.

Myers earned the honor after pitching her sixth career no hitter, last Saturday, a 7-0 victory over TAAC opponent Samford. Her accomplishment followed coach Joan Joyce earning her 300th career coaching victory. She pitched a complete game, struck out 13 and missed the perfect game by two walks. At the plate, she also hit her team leading 16th homer. She has now tied to total team home runs for the program's first season, 1995.
