Women's Tennis the 4th-Seed at the TAAC Championship

The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team opens this week's TAAC Championship as the no. 4 seed. The Lady Owls will be seeking their first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
FAU completed it's first winning season (11-10) in four years behind first year associate head coach Caroline Hora. In the midst of the 2001 campaign, the women strung together an FAU Division I record six consecutive victories. The team also features returning TAAC Player-of-the-Year Kristen Jordan who sports a 30-4 record, 19-2 at no. 1 singles, and a no. 72 national ranking.
The TAAC Championship gets underway Thursday in Macon, GA with the 7-10 seeds competing. FAU will begin play Friday with a 4:00pm match against Stetson. The tournament runs through Sunday with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
