DAYTONA BEACH, FL -
Florida Atlantic University cruised to a 5-2 victory over host Bethune-Cookman College Monday afternoon in Daytona Beach, FL. With the victory, the Lady Owls improve to 10-10 overall.
FAU won the doubles point after splitting the no. 1 and no. 2 matches. The team of Maria Aguirre-Gomez and Tania Rivera knocked off B-CC's Marta Kostrohounova and Klara Miklikova 8-4. With the Wildcats playing with just five players for the match, FAU claimed the third doubles match by default.
FAU won four singles matches, including the no. 6 match by default. Kristen Jordan, Aguirre-Gomez, and Michelle Tulman all claimed victories on the court.
