Florida Atlantic University (10-3) defeated East Tennessee State 5-2 Thursday afternoon in a non-conference dual match in Boca Raton. The win was the Owls' fourth straight and ninth out of their last ten matches.
FAU, ranked 58th in the latest ITA rankings, claimed the first point of the match in winning two of the three doubles matches. The Owls then won four singles matches to take the three-point victory. One of the two losses at singles was suffered by FAU's Doug Devriendt, who was defeated for the first time in 13 matches at the no. 1 position.
FAU next hosts Cornell March 19 at 2:00pm.
