BOCA RATON--- - Florida Atlantic University held Wagner College (2-4) scoreless at home and improves to 14-8 on the season.
FAU was outhit by the Seahawks 10 to eight but was able to get out of several jams and came up big offensively when they need to.
The Blue Wave earned their first two runs in the third inning when Jason Sullivan hit a line drive to the pitcher and drove home Rusty Brown from third. LJ Biernbaum got his first of four RBIs of the night on a ground out to second base to score Sullivan.
Sullivan was driven in again in the fifth by Biernbaum's second home run in as many days to give FAU a 4-0 advantage. Biernbaum added another RBI in the seventh a sac fly to center to score Gabe Somarriba. A wild pitch by Wagner's pitcher, Joe Kraljev, led to the final run of the game and a 6-0 score.
Aaron Diehl started for Florida Atlantic and improves to 2-0. He gave up five hits in five innings and strukeout six.
John Gregg (0-1) took the loss for the Seahawks.
Florida Atlantic plays host to Rutgers University, 7 pm, Tuesday.
