Women's Tennis Easily Defeats Georgia State

Florida Atlantic University picked up a crucial Trans America Athletic Conference victory by defeating host Georgia State University 6-1 Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, GA. The Lady Owls (3-6, 2-2 TAAC) lost the doubles point before winning each of the six singles' matches. In all, FAU dropped just one set in singles play. Kristen Jordan, ranked 64th nationally, won at the no.1 position, 6-0, 6-3, over GSU's Mojca Pavlinic.
The win was FAU's second in three days as the team defeated Mercer 6-1 on Friday. Sunday's match also marked the third time in as many days that the team took part in a road dual match. The Lady Owls are off until a March 3 match against TAAC foe Campbell University in Orlando.
