Men's Tennis Stays Perfect in the TAAC

For the second time this season, Florida Atlantic University swept a Trans America Athletic Conference opponent as the Owls defeated host Mercer University, 7-0, Saturday afternoon. FAU, ranked 61st in the nation, secured the doubles point with three victories before taking all six singles matches, dropping just one set in the process. Doug Devriendt improved to 4-0 in dual match play at the no. 1 position by defeating Mercer's Michael Witting 6-1, 6-2.
With the victory, FAU improves to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in TAAC play. The Owls defeated Stetson University, 7-0, on February 11. FAU next plays at no. 73 Troy State Saturday at 9:30am in another TAAC match.
