Nikki Myers Earns TAAC Honor

MACON, GA--- - Nikki Myers began the 2001 Florida Atlantic University softball season, just as she left-off in 2000 as Trans America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Myers, the 2001 TAAC Pre-Season Player-of-the-Year, earned the honor after leading the Lady Owls to a 2-1 record at the USF Louisville Slugger Tournament.
The junior struck out 24 and gave up just seven hits in 18 1/3 innings of work, through four games. She is 2-1 on the season with an 0.38 ERA, which included throwing against two top-25 teams.
FAU will open its home season, February 22.
